Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and a passion for supporting individuals and families in need. This role involves working closely with clients to provide counseling services, develop treatment plans, and facilitate positive behavioral changes. The LAC will play a crucial role in promoting mental wellness within the community. Duties Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on child family counseling and behavioral health. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, particularly in pediatrics. Utilize techniques from applied behavior analysis to support clients with developmental disabilities. Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices and innovative approaches in counseling. Collect and analyze data related to client progress and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within hospital settings to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Provide addiction counseling as needed, supporting clients through their recovery journey. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes. Experience A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; relevant certifications are preferred. Experience working with children and families in a counseling capacity is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavioral health practices, clinical research methodologies, and data collection techniques is beneficial. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or addiction issues is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds are essential.
