In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, promote recovery, and foster resilience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through direct support, clinical counseling, and innovative therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs. Engage clients in individual, group, or family counseling sessions focused on issues like grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction recovery, gender identity concerns, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote mental health services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate medical documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals to coordinate patient care plans and ensure comprehensive support. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation using appropriate medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and legal purposes. Participate in clinical research projects or data collection efforts aimed at improving behavioral health outcomes. Support patients through case management activities such as treatment planning, progress monitoring, and discharge planning. Experience Proven experience providing clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, or those receiving special education services. Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, or psychopharmacology integration where applicable. Hands-on experience with crisis management protocols and working with individuals experiencing PTSD or severe mental health crises. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy. Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms with a strong understanding of digital documentation standards. Knowledge of working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder using applied behavior analysis or other evidence-based interventions is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or hospital environments while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
