Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) to join our behavioral health team in Arizona. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about supporting individuals facing mental health challenges and is looking to grow professionally under clinical supervision. The position involves providing therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and developing individualized treatment plans in a collaborative environment. As an LAC, you will provide direct clinical care under supervision , supporting clients through evidence-based therapeutic approaches while ensuring compliance with Arizona state regulations. Duties Provide individual (and when applicable, group) counseling sessions. Conduct client assessments and contribute to treatment planning. Implement evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and billing standards Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families Participate in clinical supervision as required for licensure Education & Licensing Requirements Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or related behavioral health field. Active Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) license in the state of Arizona (REQUIRED) Eligible and willing to work under clinical supervision in accordance with Arizona regulations Strong knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment planning Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience Previous experience in mental health counseling, clinical therapy, or behavioral health settings is preferred. Experience providing individual therapy (internships, practicum, or professional experience accepted). Familiarity with crisis intervention and risk assessment is highly desirable. Experience with evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT) is a plus. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Clinical experience obtained during supervised training (practicum/internship) will be considered.
