Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals through evidence-based therapies and personalized support. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide individual, group, family, and child counseling sessions focused on issues like grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate positive behavioral change. Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety. Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; accurately code diagnoses using
ICD-10/ICD-9
standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators in special education settings, and case managers to coordinate holistic patient care. Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at advancing mental health treatment methodologies; contribute to data collection efforts for ongoing studies. Deliver telehealth services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations. Engage in continuous professional development by staying current with best practices in social work, psychopharmacology, CPT coding, ICD coding, and behavioral health advancements. Requirements Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the respective state or jurisdiction. Proven experience providing psychotherapy across diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or hospital environments. Strong knowledge of mental health disorders including PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and geriatrics. Proficiency in clinical counseling techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, behavior management strategies, and crisis intervention methods. Experience working with children and families in pediatric or school-based settings; familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Skilled in medical terminology related to behavioral health; capable of managing medical records accurately while adhering to HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills for intake assessments and patient education; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic classification; experience with CPT coding is preferred. Telehealth experience is highly desirable; comfortable using digital platforms for remote patient care.
