Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LMSW-cc) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC or LCPC-c) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and collaborate with our own case management team, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, fostering resilience and recovery. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Deliver crisis management and crisis intervention services to de-escalate acute situations effectively while ensuring patient safety. Develop and implement treatment strategies tailored to patients with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, chronic pain, addiction issues, grief, and gender-related counseling. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; document patient progress using medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, social workers, educators, and case managers—to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Engage in clinical research activities or data collection efforts aimed at improving treatment outcomes within behavioral health settings. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and psychopharmacology. Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and working with individuals experiencing trauma or PTSD. Experience working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and those receiving special education services. Proficiency in telehealth platforms for remote patient assessments and counseling sessions. Knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes. Ability to conduct intake evaluations effectively while managing medical records securely under HIPAA guidelines. Excellent communication skills for engaging patients in individual or group therapy settings; adept at working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care.
