Texas Wellness is an outpatient integrative therapy office welcoming a new mental health counselor who wants flexible hours to make their own schedule and is ready to join a great team! Our offices are available Monday through Saturday to fit you and your clients' schedules. If you already have a part-time position elsewhere, this is an opportunity to expand your caseload.
Job Description :
As a contract therapist, you are responsible for providing effective mental health counseling to assigned clients, coordinating with primary care physicians, referrers, and complete documentation and records.
Major Responsibilities :
Meets with clients to assess their needs, provides complete diagnosis, and in collaboration with clients, determines manageable problem focus and treatment priorities.
Clients may include:
children, adolescents, families, adults, and elders. Presents timely treatment plans to electronic health records software. Interacts effectively with each client. Works with clients and, when appropriate, their support systems to produce behavioral, cognitive, and/or emotional changes that meet treatment goals. Evaluates client progress and revises treatment plans as needed. Works collaboratively with payers, referrers, primary care physicians, and community agencies in providing effective treatment to clients. Completes all necessary documentation within required time parameters for each client.
For example:
assessments and treatment plans, insurance authorizations, problem-oriented progress notes, and treatment summaries. Maintains current licensed status and, if applicable, obtains licensure as agreed upon hire. Adapts to new developments in the field through continuing education.
Must have basic computer skills:
Ability to navigate the internet and basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard familiarity of electronic health records systems.
Requirements/Qualifications :
Master's or Doctorate Degree in social work, professional counseling, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or counseling psychology from an accredited institution Must be licensed or license eligible (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) and have completed all coursework for licensure Be familiar and sensitive to diverse cultures and ethnicity We offer competitive compensation and provide two models to allow for flexibility based on each person's needs! Shared revenue based on a percentage of cash-pay clients' collections Hourly rate based on client sessions per week and paid biweekly Health insurance stipend of up to $500 monthly for full-time clinicians based on client hours plus $160 CEU credit annually. This is a 1099 position allowing flexibility to manage your own time and schedule.
