Job Description
- Observe client behavior, assess needs and create treatment strategies
- Diagnose psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders
- Develop and put treatment plans in place
- Consult with doctors, therapists and medical professionals
- Practice within state and federal guidelines
- Administer social service programs
- Instruct clients' families during treatment
- Maintain appropriate documentation
- Complete documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in managed care planning, organization meetings, strategic planning
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a clinical social worker or professional counselor
- Working knowledge of social theories and practices
- Social perceptiveness and empathy with a mission to help the underserved Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships
