The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling, with experience in diverse therapeutic modalities and populations. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality mental health care , utilizing evidence-based practices. The counselor will work in an outpatient setting, including telehealth platforms, to support clients across various age groups and backgrounds. A commitment to ethical standards, HIPAA compliance, and patient-centered care is essential. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies. Provide therapy sessions tailored to client's individual needs. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques and de-escalation skills. Document all clinical interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management and patient care plans. Stay current with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices. Requirements Valid license as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent credential (LCMHC, LCMHCA,LCSW, LCSWA). Supervison for provisionally licensed therapists is NOT provided. Proven experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, or related fields. Knowledge of medical documentation standards and medical terminology related to behavioral health. Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, case management, and social work principles. Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse populations; ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
