In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents. Your experience will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping skills, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through evidence-based therapies and innovative treatment approaches in an outpatient setting. Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Deliver individual and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior modification. Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute mental health crises. Facilitate intake processes, develop personalized treatment plans, and maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and practice expectations. Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling sessions when appropriate, ensuring accessibility for all clients. Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid Alabama license as a License Professional Counselor (LPC ). Experience in psychotherapy. Familiarity with DSM 5 diagnosing. Experience working in outpatient clinics with minority male adolescence. Crisis management skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively and compassionately. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information. Telehealth experience is preferred; candidates should be comfortable utilizing digital platforms for remote therapy sessions.
