New Beginnings Counseling is a growing group practice serving adults, couples, adolescents, and families throughout Alabama. Our clinicians specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, ADHD, and perinatal mental health challenges. We are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while creating a supportive environment for both clients and clinicians. We are seeking a dedicated therapist who values clinical excellence, professionalism, and long-term growth within a collaborative practice. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys building meaningful therapeutic relationships, maintaining a consistent caseload, and contributing to a team culture focused on high-quality care and client outcomes. Position Overview The therapist will provide outpatient mental health counseling services, maintain clinical documentation, participate in consultation and supervision as required, and contribute to the overall success of the practice. We are specifically seeking a clinician who is available for in-person appointments, evenings, and weekends , and who is motivated to build and maintain a consistent caseload.
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field Active Alabama LPC license Ability to practice independently within scope of licensure Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills Commitment to ethical and culturally responsive care Preferred:
Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship concerns, or women's mental health issues Training in trauma-focused approaches such as EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS, CBT, DBT, or related modalities Experience working with diverse populations and underserved communities Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing psychotherapy services Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor client progress Maintain timely completion of clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries Manage a caseload of approximately 20-25 client sessions per week Respond to client communication professionally and within practice expectations Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, and staff meetings as required Provide crisis assessment and intervention when clinically indicated Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and applicable state regulations Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment Engage in continuing education and professional development activities Ideal Candidate The ideal clinician: Is dependable, professional, and self-motivated Values client care and continuity of treatment Is comfortable building and maintaining a caseload Demonstrates strong boundaries and excellent communication skills Is committed to providing affirming, trauma-informed care Has availability for evening and weekend appointments Desires to grow with a long-term practice rather than seeking a short-term placement Schedule Expectations Minimum availability of 25 clinical hours per week Evening and weekend availability required In-person availability required Hybrid opportunities may be available after establishing a consistent caseload Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on licensure and experience Flexible scheduling Professional development support Administrative support for scheduling, billing, and credentialing Established referral sources and marketing support Collaborative team environment Work Location In Person - Montgomery, Alabama Applicants should reside within reasonable commuting distance of the Montgomery area.
