Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - Private Practice (1099 Contractor) Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our private practice team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will specialize in working with a diverse range of clients, including marginalized communities, and have a strong passion for supporting individuals affected by trauma. This is a 1099 contractor position, offering flexibility in your work hours and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic and expanding practice. Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is available, allowing you to create a work-life balance that suits you. The ability to work remotely or in-person depending on client needs and preference. Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual counseling services to clients, primarily those impacted by trauma, including but not limited to racial, cultural, socioeconomic, and other marginalized identities. Develop personalized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions based on the client's needs and goals. Use evidence-based practices to support clients in managing symptoms, resolving conflicts, and fostering healing from trauma. Create a supportive, non-judgmental environment that respects the diversity and uniqueness of each client. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with confidentiality regulations and ethical guidelines. Participate in team meetings and case consultations to provide insight and collaborate with colleagues. Stay informed on best practices, trends, and advancements in trauma-informed therapy, cultural competence, and other relevant areas. Offer support and resources to clients regarding self-care, coping strategies, and community involvement. Requirements:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Valid LPC licensure in Georgia (or eligible for licensure in Georgia). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload and schedule. Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain client confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications:
Specialization in areas such as grief, PTSD, anxiety, depression, or other trauma-related issues. Experience in private practice or a desire to transition into private practice. Knowledge or certification in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., Hypnotherapy, EMDR, CBT). Additional Information:
