Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Social Worker and Professional Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate complex emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges, fostering resilience and recovery. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems, to determine appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Deliver specialized services including child & family counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and chronic pain management. Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Develop and document detailed medical records adhering to HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology for accurate clinical documentation. Facilitate intake procedures for new patients, ensuring thorough understanding of their needs and establishing rapport. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans for patients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Geriatrics needs, or special education requirements. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to extend mental health services remotely while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Engage in clinical research activities when applicable to improve treatment outcomes and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices. Apply ICD coding for diagnostic classification in medical records and billing processes related to mental health services. Experience Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with current certification in your practicing state. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or behavioral therapy within outpatient or inpatient settings. Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics across diverse clinical environments including hospitals or clinics. Hands-on experience with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols in high-pressure situations. Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance standards, and medical documentation practices related to mental health care. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies. Knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and billing purposes. Telehealth experience preferred; ability to adapt clinical skills effectively for virtual service delivery. Additional skills such as addiction counseling, grief support, psychopharmacology knowledge, group therapy facilitation, or special education background are highly valued. $51,683.95 - $74,286.05 per year
