Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Therapist to provide comprehensive mental health services within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and develop personalized treatment plans for diverse patient populations. This role involves working with individuals, families, and groups across outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote mental well-being and recovery. The Licensed Therapist will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and adhere to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding. Complete Clinical Comprehensive Assessment (CCA) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and grief counseling. Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention sessions tailored to patients' needs, including children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, PTSD, chronic pain conditions, and geriatrics. Manage case documentation accurately within electronic medical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services when appropriate. Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate patient care plans involving psychopharmacology and medical terminology understanding. Engage in clinical research activities or data collection efforts to support ongoing program development. Participate in team meetings focused on behavior management, crisis management, social work coordination, special education strategies, or gender issues counseling as needed. Stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and maintain licensure requirements through continuing education. Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and trauma-focused interventions. Strong skills in crisis intervention and crisis management across diverse populations. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities—including autism—and elderly populations in outpatient or inpatient settings. Competence in medical documentation using
ICD-9/ICD-10
codes and CPT coding; familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential. Excellent patient assessment skills coupled with case management capabilities for comprehensive treatment planning. Ability to utilize telehealth technology effectively for remote patient care delivery. Knowledge of behavioral health principles including behavior management strategies and social work practices. Effective communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams in clinical research or hospital environments. Sensitivity to gender issues counseling and experience working within diverse cultural contexts is preferred.
