The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals, couples and families. This role involves working with diverse populations in person and virtual. The counselor will utilize their expertise in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management to support clients in achieving their mental health goals. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of patient records. Engage in crisis management and intervention strategies to support clients during critical situations. Facilitate family and couples counseling, individual and group sessions and provide education on behavioral health issues. Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient record management and documentation of care. Experience Master's degree in from an accredited institution. Valid NJ state professional licensure Experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups in person and virtually. Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding practices is preferred. Proven ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health challenges or developmental disabilities. Strong skills in case management, patient care coordination, and crisis intervention techniques.
