In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals navigate emotional challenges, manage mental health conditions, and improve their overall well-being through evidence-based practices. You will work in various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, telehealth platforms, and community programs, ensuring accessible and quality care for all clients. Your proactive approach and empathetic communication will foster a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to achieve their mental health goals. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention counseling tailored to clients' unique circumstances and developmental stages. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to motivate behavioral change and enhance treatment engagement. Manage cases involving co-occurring disorders, addiction issues, PTSD care, grief counseling, and gender issues counseling with sensitivity and professionalism. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines while ensuring timely updates of medical records using appropriate medical terminology. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Participate in clinical research initiatives to stay current with evidence-based practices and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health knowledge. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and evidence-based practices. Proficiency in crisis management techniques including crisis intervention and behavior management strategies. Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, and patients with chronic pain or co-occurring disorders. Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding is a plus. Telehealth experience utilizing telehealth therapy platforms for remote patient engagement. Knowledgeable of EHR systems such as Therapy Notes, Theranest, etc. Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively while adhering to clinical documentation standards. Skills in social work principles combined with medical terminology understanding for holistic patient support. Experience in inpatient or outpatient settings within clinics or hospitals enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care across diverse environments. Competence in managing complex cases involving trauma recovery such as PTSD or grief counseling while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.
