This is an independent contractor role for a qualified provider who is appropriately licensed, credentialed, or trained to provide mental health guidance within their professional scope of practice. The ideal candidate may be a licensed psychologist, naturopathic doctor with relevant mental health and lifestyle medicine training, master's level mental health provider, or another credentialed provider with experience in holistic emotional wellness. About the Role The Holistic Mental Health Counselor will work with LAWA members as part of a multidisciplinary longevity and wellness team. This role focuses on helping clients better understand their stress patterns, emotional health, sleep habits, nervous system responses, lifestyle rhythms, and recovery needs. The goal is to provide thoughtful, personalized emotional wellness support that is practical, evidence informed, and aligned with whole person health. This role is not intended for crisis care or emergency mental health treatment. The provider must be able to identify when a client requires a higher level of care or referral. Responsibilities Provide stress and burnout assessments Review sleep quality and evening routines Assess nervous system regulation patterns Evaluate lifestyle rhythm, recovery, and emotional resilience Provide personalized emotional wellness recommendations Offer appropriate mind body practices, such as breathwork, mindfulness, restorative movement, or yoga based practices, when within scope Support clients with practical tools for stress regulation and resilience Collaborate with LAWA's clinical and wellness team Document sessions, recommendations, referrals, and follow up needs appropriately Remain within professional scope of practice at all times Required Qualifications Candidates must be appropriately credentialed to provide mental health advice, counseling, or emotional wellness guidance within their professional scope of practice.

Preferred candidates may include:

Licensed psychologist, PhD or PsyD Licensed naturopathic doctor, ND, with training or experience in mental health, lifestyle medicine, mind body medicine, or integrative wellness Master's level provider, MSc, MA, MS, LMHC, LCSW, MFT, or equivalent, with appropriate mental health counseling credentials and licensure Other licensed provider with appropriate credentials in mental health, behavioral health, counseling, or holistic emotional wellness The provider must maintain all required licenses, certifications, credentials, professional liability insurance, and scope of practice requirements related to the services they provide. Preferred Experience Experience supporting clients with stress, burnout, sleep concerns, emotional resilience, anxiety support, lifestyle imbalance, or nervous system regulation Training in trauma informed care Experience with holistic, integrative, or functional approaches to mental and emotional wellness Comfort with mindfulness, breathwork, somatic practices, restorative movement, or yoga based support Strong communication and listening skills Professional, calm, and client centered presence Ability to work collaboratively in a luxury wellness and longevity setting Independent Contractor Structure This is an independent contractor position. The provider will be responsible for maintaining any required professional license, certification, credential, professional liability insurance, and scope of practice requirements related to the services they provide. The contractor will have flexibility in scheduling based on clinic needs, client demand, and provider availability. Session structure, service offerings, and clinical boundaries will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation Compensation is $150 to $200 per session , depending on experience, credentials, session structure, and services provided. Session length and scope will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation is paid under an independent contractor arrangement.
