Job Description

Are you a fully licensed counselor, social worker, psychologist, or marriage and family therapist looking for a position in a growing group practice? Open Arms Wellness, a growing group private practice in the St. Louis area, is seeking compassionate and dedicated fully licensed therapists to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We handle the administrative burdens — including office support, billing, marketing, referrals, scheduling, and insurance coordination — so you can focus on providing exceptional care to your clients. Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist, Counselor, or Social Worker to join our growing behavioral health practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in individuals' lives while working in a supportive and collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in mental health care. Clinicians will provide therapy services utilizing evidence-based modalities including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management techniques, and other clinically appropriate interventions. Opportunities are available for clinicians with specialties including child and adolescent therapy, trauma, perinatal mental health, grief counseling, addiction counseling, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and family counseling. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing DSM and ICD-10 criteria Provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling services Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches Implement crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies when clinically appropriate Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, referral partners, schools, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care Participate in telehealth sessions utilizing secure HIPAA-compliant platforms Support clients across a variety of outpatient mental health needs and treatment goals Utilize therapeutic approaches such as CBT, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused therapy, ABA-informed strategies, trauma-informed care, and other specialty modalities based on clinician training Provide specialized counseling services related to PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, behavioral challenges, addiction recovery, and life transitions Preferred Experience Experience providing counseling or social work services in outpatient or inpatient settings Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Familiarity with crisis intervention and behavioral health treatment planning Experience with telehealth services preferred Knowledge of behavioral health documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology Experience utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT and trauma-informed care Interest in continued professional development and collaboration within a group practice environment What We Provide Steady stream of referrals Competitive compensation with a comprehensive bonus structure based on productivity and tenure Medical billing support to coordinate benefits, eligibility, and claims submission Scheduling and booking support Marketing and administrative support Supportive and collaborative team environment Professional development opportunities Flexible scheduling options Hybrid remote opportunities Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Professional development assistance Vision insurance Requirements Current fully independent Missouri license as one of the following: PhD or Psy
