  • Full-time Job Overview The Full-Time W2 Clinical Mental Health Counselor/Therapist provides high-quality, ethical, client-centered therapy services while actively participating as an engaged member of the Made Well team.
This position includes direct clinical care, documentation, case coordination, team collaboration, administrative responsibilities, and participation in practice-wide initiatives that support excellent client care and sustainable growth. This is not a "solo provider under a group practice name" type of role. This is a true team-based W2 position for a clinician who values support, accountability, collaboration, and shared investment in the practice's mission. The ideal candidate is clinically grounded, emotionally mature, organized, warm, reliable, and energized by being part of a holistic practice that values both excellent client outcomes and a healthy team culture. Clinical Care The therapist will provide therapy services within their scope of practice, training, licensure, and clinical competence.
Responsibilities include:
Providing individual, family, couples, group, or specialty therapy services as assigned and clinically appropriate Maintaining a consistent full-time clinical caseload in alignment with practice expectations Completing intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and related clinical documentation Providing care that is ethical, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, clinically appropriate, and aligned with best practices Developing and maintaining treatment plans that reflect client needs, goals, diagnoses, and ongoing progress Monitoring client outcomes and making clinically appropriate adjustments to treatment Communicating with clients, families, referral sources, and care team members when clinically indicated and properly authorized Supporting continuity of care through appropriate scheduling, follow-up, referrals, and discharge planning Following all practice policies related to clinical care, crisis response, documentation, client communication, confidentiality, and ethical standards Documentation and Administrative Responsibilities As a full-time W2 employee, the therapist is expected to complete administrative and documentation tasks that support ethical care, compliance, client experience, and practice functioning.
Responsibilities include:
Completing clinical documentation accurately, professionally, and on time Maintaining updated client records in the practice's electronic health record system Using practice-approved systems, forms, templates, communication tools, and documentation workflows Responding to client-related communication during designated work time and within practice expectations Coordinating care with appropriate releases and clinical judgment Preparing for sessions, reviewing relevant client history, and engaging in follow-up tasks as needed Participating in required staff meetings, clinical consultation, supervision, trainings, and performance check-ins Completing assigned administrative tasks related to client care, practice operations, compliance, quality improvement, or team support Using administrative time responsibly and efficiently in alignment with the expectations of the role Administrative work is not seen as separate from clinical care at Made Well. It is part of how we protect clients, support continuity, maintain ethical standards, and keep the practice functioning well. Team Collaboration and Practice Culture Made Well is intentionally building a team of clinicians who want to grow together, support one another, and contribute to a shared standard of care. The therapist will be expected to: Participate in team meetings, consultation, case collaboration, and practice development conversations Communicate with leadership and team members in a timely, respectful, and solutions-oriented way Engage in clinical consultation and receive feedback with professionalism and openness Support a team culture rooted in warmth, accountability, trust, emotional maturity, and shared responsibility Celebrate team wins and contribute positively to morale Help identify gaps in systems, communication, workflow, or client care and contribute to thoughtful solutions Understand that individual clinical work impacts the broader client experience and practice reputation Participate in practice-wide initiatives, trainings, or improvements that support the mission of Made Well Community Engagement and Practice Growth As part of a full-time W2 role, the therapist may also participate in appropriate practice growth and community-building activities. These activities help strengthen referral relationships, expand access to care, and support the long-term sustainability of the practice.
This may include:
Building relationships with aligned referral partners and community providers Participating in community events, networking opportunities, educational offerings, or wellness events Supporting workshops, groups, intensives, retreats, or specialty programming when appropriate Helping represent Made Well in a professional, warm, and mission-aligned way Identifying opportunities for collaboration with aligned professionals or organizations Documenting outreach efforts, contacts, follow-up needs, and outcomes when applicable Supporting practice visibility in ways that feel authentic, relational, and clinically appropriate Ideal Candidate Qualities A strong fit for this role is someone who: Loves doing meaningful clinical work and also values being part of a healthy team Wants the structure, support, and stability of W2 employment Is invested in the full client experience, not just the therapy hour Understands that documentation, communication, and follow-through are part of ethical care Is trauma-trained/informed Willing to work with a wide variety of clients including individuals, couples, and families Able to provide biblically sound counseling and faith-integrated counseling where applicable Values collaboration, consultation, feedback, and professional growth Is reliable, organized, emotionally mature, and self-aware Communicates directly and respectfully Is willing to contribute to the practice's growth, reputation, and sustainability Enjoys working in a holistic, integrative, and relational environment Wants to be part of something larger than their individual caseload Is excited to help Made Well continue becoming a trusted, high-quality center for healing and wholeness Requirements Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law for practicing mental health professionals. Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient clinics or hospital environments; familiarity with inpatient settings is preferred. Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatments including behavioral therapy, crisis management, behavior management techniques, psychopharmacology basics, and ICD coding systems. Proficiency in medical terminology and medical records management; experience with HIPAA compliance essential. Skills in crisis management and trauma-informed care; ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy. Telehealth experience is highly desirable; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes is a plus.
