The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves providing therapeutic support in an outpatient setting, focusing on crisis management, individual and group counseling, and promoting overall mental wellness. We are looking for therapist who are already credentialed with medicaid. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices. Implement crisis management strategies to support clients in acute distress. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the clinic to coordinate care for clients. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes. Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for participants. Stay informed about developments in the field of behavioral health, including updates on ICD-9 coding. Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. Valid licensure as a therapist or counselor in the state of practice. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Proficiency in crisis management techniques and individual/group counseling methodologies. Familiarity with outpatient and inpatient settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in behavioral health.
