Part Time In-Person & Virtual Therapist

Desert Star Addiction Recovery Center is looking for a behavioral health therapist to work in person and virtually: focusing on mental health treatment /substance abuse group treatment. This is a Hybrid part-time position (15-20 hours per week). Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Clinical Therapist to join our team and contribute to our purpose of empowering individuals on their journey towards lasting recovery and a brighter future. As a Clinical Therapist at Desert Star, you will play a pivotal role in providing excellent clinical care, addressing co-occurring disorders, and fostering an environment of compassion, integrity, and generosity.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients seeking recovery from substance use, trauma and mental health issues. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based practices and technological advancements to enhance the effectiveness of clinical services. Foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients, promoting trust, openness, and accountability. Provide support, education, case management and resources to clients, their families, and the community. Embrace a learning mindset by participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Uphold the confidentiality and safety of clients as a top priority in all interactions.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Current licensure in the state of Arizona OR Associate Licensure. Experience in providing individual and group therapy to individuals with mental health and/or substance use and co-occurring disorders. Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Three to Five years' experience delivering mental health and/or substance use services is preferred. Ability to work some evening hours which includes providing telehealth services.
