Hello, my name is Andree DeCastro, and I'm the founder and supervisor at our small group practice in Astoria Queens. I'm currently looking for a compassionate, pre-licensed counselor to join our team. Our work is deeply rooted in community, connection, and culturally responsive care. As a supervisor, I'm hands-on and truly invested in the growth of each therapist I work with. We meet weekly for both individual and group supervision, and I strive to create a warm, collaborative environment where your voice is heard and your development is supported. We're seeking a dedicated pre-licensed counselor to provide culturally responsive care to our diverse community. If you are an extraverted person this will be a big plus. What You'll Do Provide individual and group therapy under the supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Support the development and implementation of personalized treatment plans Build trust and rapport with clients while promoting emotional growth and resilience Facilitate therapeutic activities and use motivational interviewing to enhance engagement Maintain accurate and timely documentation using ICD-10 standards Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care Participate in weekly group supervision and ongoing professional development Who You Are Master's-level clinician (e.g., MHC-LP) working toward licensure Passionate about mental health and committed to culturally sensitive care Experience OR interest in working with kids, or adolescence or young adults Knowledge of art therapy and creative interventions is a plus Professional, empathetic, and eager to grow Why Join Us?
