Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises, ensuring safety and stabilization. Facilitate motivational interviewing techniques to promote client engagement and motivation for change. Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, documenting clinical notes, treatment progress, and medical documentation accurately. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical staff, social workers, and case managers to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic support. Participate in ongoing research initiatives and data collection efforts related to behavioral health outcomes and treatment efficacy. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification preferred. Proven experience in child & family counseling, crisis management, hospital settings, or community care environments. Strong knowledge of mental health disorders such as PTSD, addiction issues, and behavioral health conditions. Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical records management. Skilled in patient assessment techniques including diagnostic evaluation and intake procedures. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and medical documentation protocols. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Ability to work effectively within a team while managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
