The Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation is dedicated to fostering empowerment and healing within our communities. Our Pathways to Healing program focuses on providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals in need, supporting them on their journey to recovery and wellness.
SUMMARY:
The Professional or Provisional Licensed Counselor provides direct therapeutic services to individuals and families participating in the Pathways to Healing Program, a trauma-informed initiative of the Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation. The counselor will deliver evidence-based interventions designed to promote healing, stability, and empowerment for survivors of domestic violence and trauma. This position requires professionalism, clinical judgment, and a compassionate approach to client care. The counselor will collaborate with the Director of the Pathways to Healing Program and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, high-quality services are provided in accordance with program standards and ethical guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide individual, family, and group counseling using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and other trauma-informed approaches. Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Deliver therapy sessions in accordance with licensing board and agency requirements, maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with program staff and case managers to coordinate holistic support for clients, including referrals to internal and external community resources. Participate in weekly supervision sessions (for provisionally licensed counselors) and ongoing professional development. Track session data, progress notes, and client outcomes for grant reporting and compliance purposes. Maintain a flexible schedule that accommodates client availability, including some evenings or weekends as needed. Support the mission and core values of the Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation through compassionate, ethical, and empowering therapeutic practice. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of the Pathways to Healing Program.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
Professional Licensed Counselor:
Active Missouri licensure as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (in good standing).
Provisional Licensed Counselor:
Current PLPC, LMSW, or equivalent provisional license in Missouri, actively pursuing full licensure. Minimum of one year of clinical experience providing therapy to individuals or families impacted by trauma, domestic violence, or related issues. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles, mental health interventions, and crisis management techniques. Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills; ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain professional ethics.
Compensation Structure:
Licensed Counselors:
60/40 split (Counselor receives 60% of session fee).
Provisional Licensed Counselors:
50/50 split (Counselor receives 50% of session fee). This position offers flexible scheduling, supervision for provisional staff, and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive, mission-driven environment.
