Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and self-motivated Psychotherapist to join our team. This role is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy, collaboration, and a person-centered approach to therapy. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs. Provide psychotherapy using various modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on issues such as grief, addiction, PTSD care, and crisis management. Engage in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical research and data collection to enhance therapeutic practices. • Skills Proficient in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy. Experience working with children and families in clinical settings. Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation. Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions. Strong skills in crisis intervention and management strategies. Ability to conduct intake assessments and case management effectively. Maintain timely and appropriate EMR documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards. Participate in supervision or consultation as required by licensure. Competence in group therapy facilitation and individual counseling approaches.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. Current, active license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LLP, MLP, PsyD LP, PhD LP) in Michigan. Minimum of 1 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred. Openness to learning electronic health record (EHR) systems. Compassionate, culturally sensitive, and client-focused approach.
