Do you have personal or professional experience within or in support of programs serving youth and families and/or the child welfare system? The Youth, Permanency and Safety Division has an opportunity for a QI (Qualified Individual) Clinicians to support youth and families within the field of child welfare. The QI clinician is responsible for assessing youth referrals for placement in congregate care settings, including the completion of necessary documentation, coordination with key stakeholders, and the application of clinical decision-making to determine appropriate levels of care. This position is located in Boise or Caldwell. The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Case Assignments and Initial Actions to include receiving referrals and following through the process to complete an evaluation within mandated timeframes. Completion of a CANS assessment to include reviewing documents, identifying gaps in information that need to be addressed during FPTM along with verifying all necessary documentation is included to support an accurate assessment. Attend and lead discussions in Family Permanency Team Meetings (FPTM) to share clinical impressions and collaborate on cases.Data Entry:
Must be able to enter completed CANS data into the P-CIS system and ensure all necessary documents are uploaded and saved in the youth's shared folder. Complete QI Assessments including proper documentation for placement recommendations, level of care determinations, and other relevant findings.Collaboration:
Must be able to efficiently collaborate with supervisor in determining placement decisions and readiness for referral closures. Will communication with stakeholders around eligibility for QRTP to include proper completion of necessary documentation and submission to Magellan if supported. You must possess all the specialty minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum and specialty qualifications for this position. A Master's degree (or higher) in a direct clinical practice Human Services field is required for this position. (Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study) in accordance withIdaho Codes:
54-3206, 54-3402, 54-3405, and 54-3214.SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires licensure in a professional specialty in one of the following areas: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3206, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405, Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405.
