Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate mental health services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral management for diverse populations. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping skills, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with disabilities through evidence-based practices and collaborative care. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document mental health conditions. Deliver a wide range of therapeutic interventions such as psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs. Implement crisis management strategies and de-escalation techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes or behavioral crises. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions focused on topics like grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans, coordinate case management efforts, and maintain detailed medical records compliant with HIPAA regulations. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote patient care while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to medical documentation standards. Engage in clinical research activities related to behavioral health treatments and outcomes to support continuous improvement of services provided. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing purposes. Support patients through intake procedures, medical terminology explanations, and ongoing patient assessment processes to optimize treatment effectiveness. Experience Proven experience in mental health counseling or clinical social work within outpatient or inpatient settings. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA). Hands-on experience working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities, geriatrics, or special populations such as those with autism or chronic pain conditions. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols in behavioral health environments. Knowledge ofICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnostic classification and documentation accuracy. Experience utilizing telehealth technology for remote patient engagement while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and patient care documentation standards. Background in research activities related to clinical outcomes or behavioral health interventions is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including social workers, clinicians, case managers, and medical staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
