In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic support to individuals across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through evidence-based practices and personalized care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention strategies and conflict management skills to ensure client safety. Collect and document medical records, treatment progress notes, and other essential data in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with case management teams to coordinate care plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed. Provide specialized support for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, or gender issues counseling. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health, addiction counseling, and special education. Qualifications Proven experience in home & community care settings or related behavioral health environments. Strong background in social work, mental health counseling, or related fields with relevant certifications. Familiarity with data collection methods and medical documentation standards. Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and electronic medical records systems. Experience working with children and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Skills in crisis management, conflict resolution, and behavioral management techniques. Ability to perform intake assessments and conduct diagnostic evaluations accurately.
