Job Description

Summary As a member of the Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) program clinical team, the PCIT Clinician will play an essential role in the development and implementation of the program, ensuring quality therapeutic intervention as it relates to the treatment of both mental health and behavior disorders in children (ages 2-7) and caregivers served by Families Connect, Inc. The PCIT Clinician will support the agency's mission through the practice of ethical decision-making and following the agency's policies and procedures in providing a quality standard of care. Essential Job Functions Provide PCIT therapeutic services in compliance with the policies and procedures of Families Connect, Inc. and PCIT, International (PCIT training provided) Complete required documentation in accordance with agency standards, PCIT program fidelity, and funders' requirements Complete incident and abuse reports as needed and required while working in the best interest and safety of the children and families in your charge Ensure all services comply with the requirements PCIT training Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to obtain PCIT certification and attend professional trainings as required for continued employment (FCI will provide the paid training for your PCIT certification. Competent in treatment theories and practice as they relate to children and families DSM assessment and diagnostic knowledge and practice Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and technology use Ability to manage own schedule and meet goals and expectations Educational Requirements Have a master's degree or higher, or an international equivalent of a master's degree, in a mental health field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with abused /neglected children and their families. Preferabbly a Florida licensed registered Intern. OR Be an independently licensed mental health service provider in the state of Florida (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) with a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with abused /neglected children and their families OR Be a psychology doctoral student with a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with abused /neglected children and their families who has completed the third year of training and be conducting clinical work under the supervision of a licensed mental health service provider. Other Skills/Ability Bilingual - preferred but not required Ability to network internally and externally to benefit the company and clients. Use Electronic Health Record Highly responsible and self-motivated Employees must pass Level 2 FDLE background screen (for additional information about out the clearinghouse) visit https://info.flclearinghouse.com, drug screen, local background screen in the county of residences, and have the ability to learn and utilize Electronic Health Record. Work Environment and Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The employee must be able to drive or have arranged transportation to meet the job requirements. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderately loud.
