Job Description
Job Summary The Counseling and Psychiatric Services department at CU Boulder is searching for a Multicultural Specialist! This position is designed to deliver direct clinical services to university students with a focus on underserved populations. This role has been created to meet the needs of all students, with a focus on our African American/Black Student population. This work requires specific training and experience working with this population. Services provided include time-limited individual therapy, group psychotherapy, triage and screening services, crisis management, workshops, community outreach, and consultation on mental health concerns to campus partners. The role requires specific awareness, training, and experience in multicultural humility, social justice issues and culturally sensitive treatments. The position may provide clinical supervision and training seminars to psychology and social work trainees and will support training in standard processes through a multicultural and equity lens for CAPS staff. The role collaborates with other campus departments in providing outreach around equity and inclusive practices. A majority of this position's caseload will include students on the Multicultural Care Track. This position may also provide after-hours consultation and support, as needed. CU is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment. We are committed to creating a workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and we encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
