As a key member of our mental health practice, the ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in providing individual and group therapy, excellent documentation skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Individual Therapy:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to clients' goals and challenges. Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns.
Group Therapy:
Lead therapeutic groups to provide support and guidance in a group setting. Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute effective group interventions. Foster a safe and inclusive group environment that encourages open communication and growth.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessment notes, treatment plans, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in documentation practices. Regularly review and update treatment plans based on clients' progress and evolving needs.
Professionalism:
Demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical and professional conduct in all interactions. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health care.
Client Advocacy:
Advocate for clients' rights and access to appropriate mental health services. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to coordinate comprehensive care for clients. Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings to ensure a holistic approach to client well-being.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in counseling or a related field. An active RI provisional mental health license (LMHC-A). Experience in providing individual and group therapy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Knowledge of relevant ethical guidelines and legal requirements in mental health practice. Strong desire to grow in clinical skills.
