  • Full-time The Mental Illness Recovery Center (MIRCI) is a nonprofit organization that assists homeless individuals, both adults and youth, with clinical needs and permanent housing, and is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to join its Outpatient Team.
Job Function:
Under general supervision of the Director of Outpatient Services, provides mental health screening, treatment planning, individual and group counseling interventions for adults experiencing serious mental illness, trauma, and/or emotional problems in MIRCI's Outpatient Clinic.
Employee Classification:
Considered a professional, exempt position that is regular full-time.
Examples of Work:
Direct Client Care:
Provides individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT-informed, trauma-focused) Conducts assessments and develops individualized treatment plans Provides crisis intervention as needed Maintains an active caseload and monitors client progress
DocumentationCompliance:
Completes assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner Documents services in Epic Systems Maintains accurate and organized clinical records
Care Coordination:
Collaborate with internal team members and external providers Participates in Treatment Team meetings Connects clients with appropriate resources and supports
Administrative:
Attends required meetings and trainings Manages scheduling and follow-up with clients Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of methods, principles, and practices of evidence-based, therapeutic interventions; psychopathology and patient management within a psychiatric setting; group dynamics and human development; trauma-informed care; and client interviewing. Experience working with at-risk individuals experiencing homelessness. Ability to establish and maintain effective contact with individuals, families, and representatives of other professional disciplines, community partners, and other stakeholders. Understanding of community supports, including supportive services provided by other public and private agencies. Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's Degree from an Accredited School of Counseling, Social Work, or Mental Health. South Carolina Licensure of Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) 2 years of experience in a clinical counseling program. Training in trauma-informed care is preferred
Necessary Special Requirements:
Must have a valid SC driver's license and a good driving record. Must be certifiable in defensive driving and Standard CPR/1st-Aid. Employee Benefits for
