Job Description

Under limited supervision in a female inpatient addiction treatment program, Provides clinical assessments, treatment planning, individual and group counseling of a co-occurring nature, and other therapeutic services, including crisis management and intervention. Coordinates mental health services in assigned areas. Provides treatment recommendations for referred inmates. Maintains accurate documentation. Provides regular feedback to mental health and medical staff on referred inmates. Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team. Provides training and consultation on co-occurring treatment to program staff. Provides discharge planning for identified inmates. Attends trainings and performs other duties related to SCDC and the Office of Behavioral Health. This is a grant funded position. Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire. SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program. A minimum of a master's degree in a mental health related field and eligible for licensure to practice as an LPC-I/A, LMSW, LMFTA, LPC, LISW, LMFT or LPCS with professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program. Must successfully obtain license within 12 months of hire to sustain employment; OR A minimum of a master's degree in a mental health related field, and license to practice as an LPCI/A, LMSW, LMFTA, LPC, LISW, LMFT, or LPCS with professional experience. Two (2) years of experience in a mental health/social service program and licensed as a LPC, LISW, LPCS or LMFT preferred.
