Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE
Provides clinical services for all the programs; networks with the community agencies and participates as Treatment Team Member.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the general supervision of Treatment Director.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
None.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
¨ Conducts orientations and assessments for Community Base Treatment; assists with DUI and adolescent assessments as needed. ¨ Provides to all clients individual, family and group counseling and case management following the guide of the treatment plan goals. ¨ Conducts initial intakes for walk-ins on a rotating basis. ¨ Networks with various agencies and individuals to maintain referrals to CCCADA. ¨ Prepares, maintains, and/or processes various reports and documents to provide continuity in client care. ¨ Completes all paperwork and reports in a timely manner. ¨ Assists with development and implementation of treatment programs. ¨ Attends training to achieve or maintain credentials. ¨ Attends all staff meetings. ¨ Participates in Treatment Team. ¨ Provides training for community and other agencies as needed. ¨ Serves on committees as needed. ¨ Provides a minimum of 15 hrs/wk of services in face-to-face settings with clients 90% of the time
PERIPHERAL DUTIES
Performs other related duties as required. SAFETY
  • Complete standard First Aid/CPR Training annually.
  • Adhere to Safety/Emergency Policies.
  • Responsible for insuring safety of persons served/volunteers, to include emergency evacuations.
  • Practice "safety" at all times.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: (A) Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in social/behavioral science, sociology, social work, counseling, psychology, and family relations or a related clinical field; and (B) One to two (1-2) years experience in counseling in an alcohol/drug environment. (C) Any combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge and skills. : (A) Considerable knowledge of assessment methods and techniques; working knowledge of referral resources and processes; working knowledge of principles of human development; considerable knowledge of chemical dependency, social work, mental health, marriage and family counseling. (B) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment; skill in crisis intervention; skill in assessment; considerable skill in counseling or therapy. (C) Ability to assess a variety of personal or family problems; ability to maintain detailed and accurate records and data; ability to maintain confidences; ability to work independently or as part of a team; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, supervisors, other agencies, and the general public; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(A) Valid state driver's license or ability to obtain one. (B) State certification as a Clinical Counselor within three years.

Personal computer, including word processing software; VCR/TV; camcorder; recorder; calculator; copy and fax machine; phone; automobile.

$46,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
