• Must have Masters Degree and CSW-PIP, o rLPC-MH, or LMFT and CAC/LAC in State of SD.

• A Brief Overview
• Assists in coordinating, planning, implementing and facilitating programs and counseling services on an outpatient basis.

The Outpatient Therapist's responsibilities may include several of the following areas: individual, group and family counseling, crisis services/evaluation, tele-therapy services, and current and future groups/programs. All of these areas may involve providing assessments, facilitating treatment and crisis intervention of clientele affected by mental health or dual diagnoses issues. Providing community/education services will be a part of this position and some travel is occasionally required.

• What you will do
• + Coordinates a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment or referral of clients/patients presenting moderate to severe social adjustment problems.

+ Adheres to policies which assure the confidentiality of client communications. + Provides for a multi-disciplinary, holistic approach to the treatment of clients, coordinating same with appropriate hospital departments. + Conducts individual, family, or group therapy sessions in accordance with accepted principles of the National Association of Social Workers. + Assesses progress of clients/patients and modify or extend treatment program accordingly. Coordinates care of clients/patients with referring physician or agency. + Documents therapy in accordance with hospital policies and procedures on medical records. + Intervenes as a crisis counselor in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment such as substance abuse, suicide attempts, psychotic episodes and other instances as outlined in hospital policy. + Refers client or patient to outside agencies where appropriate. + Communicates with family members/significant others in order to further the effectiveness of client/patient treatment and progress. + Coordinates client/patient billing and modify treatment program in accordance with insurance coverage, plan provisions, and individual ability to pay. Provides educational programs on a variety of psychological topics to hospital/community groups as requested.

• Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• + Master's + Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire or + Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire and + Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP)
• Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice within 30 Days

• Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• + Addiction Counselor Trainee (ACT)
• Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice and + Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC)
• Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice or + Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)
• Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals An active license in the state of practice + 3 years related experience and/or training + Clinical experience facilitating group therapy sessions and providing individuals counseling services + Experience working with clients having dual diagnoses issues (addictive disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions) + Clinical experience with couples and/or family therapy •Expectations and Standards•+ Commitment to the daily application of Avera's mission, vision, core values, and social principles to serve patients, their families, and our community.
