Staff Full Time Job Description This position will provide short-term, solution-focused mental health counseling and referral support for students at Lincoln Memorial University's Orange Park location. The counselor will assist students with personal, emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns that may affect persistence, wellbeing, and academic success. In addition to direct counseling services, the position will support assessment, referral coordination, documentation, prevention programming, and mental health awareness efforts in alignment with institutional standards and professional ethics Required Qualifications Master's degree in an appropriate discipline. Florida licensure as a mental health provider. Minimum of three years of experience working with college students Preferred Qualifications Experience working with people with disabilities

Job Duties Provide short-term, solution-focused mental health counseling for students Conduct initial assessments, inventories, and referrals, as appropriate Coordinate and communicate with outside agencies to ensure continuity of care and appropriate community-based referrals Maintain quality assurance in counseling service delivery, including counseling, care coordination, and documentation Provide alcohol and drug prevention programming and counseling for students referred through the Dean of Students process Assist the Director of Counseling in planning and administering mental health awareness initiatives and related educational programming for students, faculty, and staff Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University and maintain effective working relationships across the university community Adhere to applicable state mental health ethical standards and other institutional expectations HigherEd360 is part of the HigherEdJobs network.
