Job Summary:
The Rehabilitation Specialist position is a great fit for mental health professionals seeking to build clinical experience, enhance their clinical skill sets, and/or accrue hours towards advanced clinical licensure. Integral Care (IC) offers free, board-approved clinical supervision to Master's level Social Workers and LPC-Associates based on tenure and the availability of clinical supervisors to accommodate new supervisees. This position is based out of the IC Adult Behavioral Health (ABH) St. John Clinic and serves individuals residing in and around North Austin. We welcome applicants of all experience levels, and IC is prepared to provide training opportunities to promote the professional growth and expertise of the individual filling this position. Rehabilitation Specialist positions can be filled by individuals with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a mental health related field. Rehabilitation Specialists provide psychosocial rehabilitative skills training, intensive case management, and service coordination to vulnerable community members with complex needs. The IC Adult Behavioral Health (ABH) St. John Clinic serves adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses and our clients frequently present with co-occurring substance use disorders and chronic medical conditions. Rehabilitation Specialists utilize a person-centered, trauma-informed, recovery focused approach to forge therapeutic relationships with racially and culturally diverse individuals, helping them define and facilitate their desired life outcomes, cultivate independent living skills, maintain financial and residential stability, and adaptively manage their mental and behavioral health conditions. Rehabilitation Specialists participate in diagnostic evaluations and provide assessment of individual strengths, preferences, functional impairments, and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring substance use disorders to ensure optimal and personalized services. Frequent interdisciplinary collaboration with external and internal providers is necessary to support individuals in achieving their recovery goals. include access to medical care, substance use treatment, nutrition, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, or other services as required to meet their goals and needs. Rehabilitation Specialists work under the general supervision of the unit manager with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. At this level of care, client caseloads are relatively stable with limited need for crisis intervention. This position may require occasional transportation of consumers in a personal and/or agency vehicle. Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule. Education:
Required:
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred.
License:

Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

One year of direct client care experience in mental health strongly. Bilingual in
