Part Time Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. This position works within an outpatient multidisciplinary group comprised of Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselors, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers offering in person counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Additionally provides in person psychotherapy to individuals and families presenting with symptoms of ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Stress, PTSD, relational difficulties, grief/loss, and other life challenges. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies to promote mental wellness and recovery. Duties Assess, prioritize, individualize, and evaluate plan of care based on client /family developmental, emotional, and coping needs. Provides services to clients or family members in group or individual therapy sessions, using developmentally appropriate experiences to assess and meet psychosocial or physical needs as it relates to their illness and/or medical treatment. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Facilitate motivational interviewing to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change, fostering motivation for treatment adherence. Assists clients and family members in coping with the stresses associated with illness and/or the health care experience through developing therapeutic, supportive relationships which foster a sense of empowerment and self-esteem. Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate records of patient care, intake assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques tailored for diverse populations including children & family counseling. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention methods and crisis management protocols. Experience with hospital settings, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and behavioral health programs. Skilled in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, case management, and intake procedures. Ability to conduct individual and group counseling sessions effectively using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches. Excellent communication skills with a focus on social work principles and patient-centered care practices. Familiarity with behavior management strategies including applied behavior analysis (ABA) for behavioral modification purposes.
