In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct support, clinical interventions, and collaborative case management, all within a supportive and innovative environment. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations effectively while ensuring client safety. Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and behavioral therapy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, monitor progress through medical records and documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Utilize telehealth platforms to extend services remotely, ensuring accessibility for clients with mobility or transportation challenges. Conduct diagnostic evaluations using medical terminology expertise to accurately assess client conditions and inform treatment strategies. Engage in clinical research activities when applicable, contributing to data collection efforts that support program development and quality improvement initiatives. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, child & family counseling, and working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong background in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and social work practices within inpatient or outpatient settings. Familiarity withICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for accurate medical documentation and billing processes. Expertise in medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions and patient care documentation. Proficiency in delivering services via telehealth platforms with a focus on HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards. Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques, grief counseling approaches, psychopharmacology principles, and gender issues counseling. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using CPT coding standards while conducting patient assessments for mental health conditions. Experience working with individuals with disabilities across diverse age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics in clinical or special education settings. Skills in applied behavioral analysis (ABA), art therapy, dance therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other innovative therapeutic modalities. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers, families, schools, and community agencies involved in client care.
