Job Description
We are seeking a Part-Time Mental Health Counselor/Therapist to provide outpatient counseling services to clients at our Pleasanton office. This position is a strong fit for a licensed clinician or associate-level clinician who is dependable, clinically thoughtful, ethical, and interested in growing within a supportive private practice setting. The position will begin as a 1099 contract role, with a review after 6 months to evaluate caseload growth, performance, schedule consistency, and possible transition to W-2 employment. Texas:
LPC LPC Associate
LMFT LMFT
Associate
LCSW LMSW
under appropriate clinical supervision, if applicable Applicants must also: Hold an active Texas license in good standing Follow all applicable ethical, legal, and licensing board requirements Maintain professional liability insurance Be able to complete timely clinical documentation Be comfortable using an electronic health record system Be willing to provide services in person at our Pleasanton office Pass any required background or credentialing checks Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to applicants who have experience or interest in one or more of the following areas: Adolescents and Teens Couples or family therapy Trauma-informed care Anxiety and depression ADHD Grief and life transitions Parenting support Rural mental health Working with schools, medical offices, or community referral partners Schedule This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling based on office availability and client need. Preferred availability includes one or more of the following: Afternoon or evening hours Some Saturday availability Consistent weekly appointment blocks Ability to build toward a steady part-time caseload Exact schedule will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation This position will begin as a 1099 contract position. Compensation is paid per completed session. Details will be discussed during the interview process and may vary based on license type, experience, credentialing status, and caseload. After 6 months, ACCS will review the position for possible increased hours and consideration of W-2 employment based on performance, client demand, schedule consistency, and business needs.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Provide individual, couples, family, or group counseling services within scope of practice Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required documentation in a timely manner Maintain ethical and professional boundaries Communicate appropriately with clients, staff, referral sources, and supervisors when applicable Follow ACCS policies, procedures, and documentation standards Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Participate in coordination of care when clinically appropriate Maintain required licensure, continuing education, and liability insurance Support a positive, professional, and collaborative clinic environment Why Join ACCS?
