Role:
The Clinician- IP plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals requiring structured outpatient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent in the state of Texas. Experience working in an Intensive Outpatient Program or similar behavioral health setting. Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and mental health assessment tools. Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with diverse populations including adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Training or certification in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or motivational interviewing. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in behavioral health settings. Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, to better serve the Austin community. Previous experience in residential or community-based mental health programs.Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to determine clients' mental health status and treatment needs within the IOP framework. Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the care team. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to client needs. Monitor client progress and adjust interventions accordingly, documenting all clinical activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and facilitate referrals as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities. Respond promptly and effectively to client crises, ensuring safety and appropriate intervention. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms.Skills:
The Clinician- IOP utilizes strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills daily to evaluate client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
