This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health care, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and family counseling, to promote emotional well-being for mothers and their families. You will work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes compassionate patient care, clinical research, and innovative treatment approaches such as behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. Your expertise will help empower women facing mental health challenges during this critical life stage, ensuring they receive personalized support tailored to their unique needs. This paid position is ideal for professionals passionate about making a meaningful difference in maternal mental health. Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding systems to determine patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, and behavioral therapy to support maternal mental health. Implement crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to assist women experiencing acute mental health episodes or postpartum crises. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on perinatal mood disorders, PTSD care, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, medical documentation, and patient care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote patient assessments and therapy sessions, expanding access to mental health services for new mothers across diverse locations. Maintain accurate medical records, document progress notes, and track data collection related to behavioral health outcomes using CPT coding where applicable. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies. Proficiency in crisis intervention, crisis management, and social work principles within inpatient or outpatient settings. Strong knowledge of ICD10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation. Skilled in working with children, families, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and diverse populations such as geriatrics or pediatrics. Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms for remote patient care delivery. Ability to perform patient assessments, case management duties, and clinical research activities related to maternal mental health. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices. Experience in addiction counseling, grief counseling, chronic pain counseling, and gender issues counseling is highly desirable.
