Substance Abuse Counselor / Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCDC)

Discovery Point Retreat is hiring a part-time weekend Therapist to join our inpatient behavioral health team in Waxahachie, TX. You will work Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based clinical care to adults in residential addiction and dual-diagnosis treatment. This role is open to clinicians searching: part-time therapist, weekend therapist, LPC, LPC Associate, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCDC, LCDC-Intern, mental health therapist, substance abuse counselor, behavioral health, dual diagnosis.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Provide individual therapy, group therapy, and family sessions Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups per program curriculum Document clinical services accurately and on time in the EMR Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate with medical, case management, and recovery support staff Monitor client progress and update treatment goals Maintain compliance with Texas state licensing, payer, and Joint Commission standards Respond to clinical crises and escalate to the Clinical Director when appropriate Provide trauma-informed, culturally competent care to a diverse adult population

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We accept any of the following Texas-issued licenses — apply with the one you hold: LPC or LPC-Associate LCSW or LMSW LMFT or LMFT-Associate LCDC or LCDC-Intern Licensed Psychologist Other requirements: Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field preferred Comfort working in residential, PHP, or IOP settings Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation protocols Strong group facilitation and interpersonal communication skills Emotional resilience to support clients in early recovery

Part-time, non-exempt Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Onsite at our Waxahachie, TX program PAY $19.23 - $43.26 per hour, commensurate with license and experience
