A Mission for Michael:
Our flagship program offers intensive, highly personalized residential mental health treatment in small, home-like environments. With a 6-8 client ratio per home, we provide 24/7 support from a multidisciplinary clinical team, incorporating traditional therapy, experiential modalities (art, music, equine), and a deep focus on each client's lived experience. Mission Connection:
A flexible, hybrid program designed to meet clients where they are—both literally and clinically. This outpatient service combines in-person and telehealth care for adults with primary mental health diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Mission Connection ensures consistent, personalized support that fits into the client's real life. Mission Prep:
A dedicated adolescent program that works with teens and their families to create sustainable change. Focused on treating primary mental health challenges, Mission Prep offers a blend of proven therapies and innovative interventions in a supportive, home-like setting. Family involvement is central to the treatment process, helping lay the foundation for long-term success and resilience. Position Overview AMFM Healthcare is seeking Clinical Group Facilitators to lead therapeutic group sessions at our Mission Connection program. In this role, you will guide clients through evidence-based practices, helping them develop the skills necessary for long-term stability and recovery. Ideal candidates will have experience facilitating groups in CBT, DBT, Trauma, Psychodrama, or other mental health modalities. Key Responsibilities Facilitate group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices. Work with acute clients experiencing co-occurring mood disorders, substance use, and suicidal ideation. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and Virginia Licensing Standards . Provide therapeutic interventions and create individualized care plans with measurable objectives. Document client progress , develop transition and discharge plans, and maintain accurate clinical records. Assist in crisis intervention and act as a point of contact for families regarding clinical care. Participate in staff meetings, quality management initiatives, and training programs . Adhere to ethical standards, legal guidelines, and AMFM Healthcare's policies and procedures. Qualifications Education:
Minimum of a Master's degree in a clinically related field (Required). Preferred Credentials:
Resident in Counseling, Supervisee of Social Work, any associate level therapist or those who have applications pending. Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LPC. Experience:
Leading group therapy sessions (process, psychoeducational, etc.). Working with individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues . Additional Requirements:
Registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling or Virginia Department of Health Professions . Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and required screenings.
