In this vital role, you will provide immediate, compassionate support and intervention to individuals facing behavioral health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization. Your work will involve rapid response to crisis situations, conducting thorough assessments, and connecting clients with appropriate resources. Duties Respond promptly to mental health crises in community settings, including homes, schools, and public spaces Conduct comprehensive patient assessments utilizing clinical counseling, triage techniques, and crisis intervention strategies Deliver evidence-based interventions such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and behavioral therapy to de-escalate situations Collaborate with families, caregivers, law enforcement, and healthcare providers to develop effective care plans Collect detailed medical documentation and record all interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical records standards Manage case coordination by providing individual or group counseling sessions tailored to client needs Utilize data collection and research skills to monitor outcomes and improve crisis response protocols Requirements Proven experience in behavioral health fields such as psychotherapy, clinical counseling, or social work Strong knowledge of crisis management techniques including trauma-informed care for PTSD and grief counseling Familiarity with working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those with substance use issues or addiction counseling needs Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and understanding of medical documentation practices Ability to perform patient assessment through intake procedures and behavioral health evaluations Experience in acute care environments such as hospitals or emergency response settings is highly desirable Excellent communication skills for conducting group therapy sessions and applying motivational interviewing techniques Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, ICD coding standards, and behavior management strategies Join us in providing compassionate crisis intervention that transforms lives.
