In this engaging position, you'll provide individual, group, and family counseling within outpatient settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote mental wellness and resilience. Duties Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Utilize motivational interviewing and crisis intervention strategies to support clients facing acute mental health or behavioral crises. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals, incorporating evidence-based practices including behavioral management, social work principles, and trauma-informed care such as PTSD management. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards; maintain accurate medical records and progress notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts, including coordination with medical professionals for psychopharmacology or inpatient referrals when necessary. Engage in clinical research activities or data collection initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or related mental health field; licensure or certification as required by state law. Proven experience working in outpatient clinics or community mental health settings with diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Strong knowledge of behavioral health disorders such as depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, chronic pain conditions, and gender issues counseling. Proficiency in therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and crisis management techniques. Experience with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health. Skilled in telehealth platforms and delivering services remotely while maintaining engagement and confidentiality. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop effective treatment strategies tailored to individual needs. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy and experience managing medical records securely.
