Job Summary ThriveWell Recovery Centers is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven, Bi-Lingual Spanish-Speaking Therapist to join our growing behavioral health team. This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders through high-quality, evidence-based care. The ideal candidate is a licensed or pre-licensed clinician (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Resident, or Supervisee) who is passionate about recovery, culturally competent, and committed to delivering exceptional clinical services in both English and Spanish. This role includes providing individual, group, and family therapy within a collaborative treatment environment across outpatient and telehealth settings. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's clinical, emotional, and recovery needs. Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy utilizing modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention, Trauma-Informed Care, and Psychoeducation. Facilitate therapeutic groups focused on mental health, substance use recovery, coping skills, emotional regulation, and life skills development. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support while maintaining client safety and therapeutic stability. Maintain timely, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and care coordination records. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams including medical providers, case managers, nurses, recovery support staff, and community partners. Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Support client engagement, retention, and continuity of care throughout the treatment process. Remain current on behavioral health best practices, regulatory standards, and emerging clinical research. Minimum Qualifications Education Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related Behavioral Health field. Licensure Active or license-eligible status in Virginia as one of the following: LPC or LPC Resident LCSW or Supervisee in Social Work LMFT or Resident in Marriage & Family Therapy Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) Experience Minimum of two years of experience in mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred. Experience working with co-occurring disorders, trauma, crisis intervention, and recovery-oriented care strongly preferred. Language Fluency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written) required. Ability to independently conduct full clinical sessions and documentation in Spanish. Technology Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms preferred. Preferred Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and recovery-oriented systems of care. Experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed interventions. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills with diverse and multicultural populations. Strong crisis management and clinical decision-making abilities. High level of professionalism, empathy, and ethical practice. Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and documentation standards. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
