We are a growing mental health practice seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and motivated Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. About the Role The Mental Health Counselor will provide women, children, couples, and/or family counseling services while maintaining a manageable caseload and delivering high-quality clinical care. Clinicians will conduct intake assessments, develop collaborative treatment plans, document sessions in a timely manner, and coordinate care. This role is ideal for someone who values autonomy but also enjoys building meaningful therapeutic relationships, and wants to be a part of a supportive and mission-driven practice. Responsibilities Provide play like therapy, individual, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches Conduct intake assessments and develop client-centered treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using EHR systems Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and related mental health challenges Coordinate care with physicians, schools, community providers, or additional supports as needed Maintain ethical standards, professional boundaries, and confidentiality Participate in case consultation and ongoing professional development Contribute positively to a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative practice culture Qualifications Current Virginia licensure or license-eligible status in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field (LPC, Resident, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention Experience or interest in working with women, children, couples, and families Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis-management skills Comfort using EHR systems and technology for documentation What We Offer Supportive and collaborative team environment Flexibility and clinical autonomy Opportunities for professional growth and continued learning Meaningful work serving women, children, and families in the community A practice culture rooted in compassion, integrity, and respect Apply To apply, please send your resume and a brief introduction to: information@intrinseq-counseling.com Learn more about our practice at www.intrinseq-counseling.com Intrinseq Counseling LLC is committed to creating an inclusive environment for both clients and staff.
