Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to fulfill the role of QMHP/T/C/A, Behavioral Tech, or Crisis Counselor. This position is vital in providing behavioral health support and crisis intervention services to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to promote safety, stability, and progress through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized behavioral health services. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to determine client needs and develop personalized care plans. Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques to support clients' developmental and behavioral goals. Provide crisis intervention and management during emergency situations to ensure client and staff safety. Administer medication following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes to inform ongoing treatment plans and progress notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, medical professionals, and educators, to coordinate comprehensive care. Collect data on client behaviors and treatment outcomes to evaluate effectiveness and adjust interventions accordingly. Support clients with activities of daily living, emphasizing patient care, social skills development, and community integration. Skills Extensive experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring behavioral health support. Strong crisis management skills with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Knowledge of special education principles, addiction counseling, autism spectrum disorder interventions, and PTSD care. Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation practices. Ability to perform behavioral assessments using applied behavior analysis methods and data collection techniques. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, and team members. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
