This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health and behavioral support to individuals, particularly focusing on children and families. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of those they serve through effective counseling and support strategies. Must have MCR certification to serve Warsaw and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and intake evaluations to determine individual needs and treatment plans. Provide psychotherapy, including individual, group, and family counseling sessions. Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Crisis Intervention techniques. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, including those with developmental disabilities, PTSD, and addiction issues. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding. Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on various topics such as grief counseling, behavioral management, and art therapy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients in inpatient or outpatient settings. Engage in clinical research activities to enhance service delivery and therapeutic outcomes. Provide direct support to clients during crisis situations while employing effective crisis management strategies. Stay informed about current best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Licensure or certification relevant to the practice of psychotherapy or counseling is required with Mobile Crisis Training. Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred. Experience working with children and families in clinical settings is essential. Proficiency in various therapeutic approaches including but not limited to psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Familiarity with medical terminology, patient care protocols, and case management processes. Strong understanding of developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, geriatrics, and chronic pain management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to ethical practice standards and continuous learning within the mental health field.
