Full-Time / Part-Time Available About Nol Behavioral Health Nol Behavioral Health is seeking two (2) Qualified Mental Health Professionals
  • Adult (QMHP-A) to join our growing team in Richmond, Virginia.
We provide community-based mental health services to adults experiencing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Our goal is to help clients improve daily functioning, increase independence, develop coping skills, and achieve greater stability in their everyday lives. Position Summary The QMHP-A will provide direct mental health skill-building services to adult clients in the home, community, office setting, or through telehealth when appropriate. This position requires strong communication, documentation, organization, and the ability to work independently while following Virginia Medicaid, DBHDS, HIPAA, and agency requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide Mental Health Skill-Building Services (MHSS) to adults according to individualized service plans.
  • Assist clients with developing coping skills, emotional regulation, communication skills, problem-solving skills, budgeting skills, and independent living skills.
  • Support clients with increasing community integration, self-sufficiency, and overall quality of life.
  • Monitor client progress toward treatment goals and document services accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with case managers, healthcare providers, community agencies, and treatment team members.
  • Participate in treatment planning and care coordination activities.
  • Provide crisis support and intervention when appropriate.
  • Connect clients with community resources and support services.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Virginia Medicaid, DBHDS regulations, and agency policies.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards in all client and team interactions. Education Requirements Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a qualifying human services or behavioral health-related field, such as:
  • Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Counseling
  • Human Services
  • Sociology
  • Psychiatric Rehabilitation
  • Special Education
  • Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Rehabilitation Counseling
  • Substance Abuse Counseling
  • Behavioral Science
  • Criminal Justice with relevant behavioral health experience
  • Other closely related behavioral health or human services disciplines Required Qualifications
  • Must be registered as a QMHP-A in Virginia or meet the requirements to obtain QMHP-A registration through the Virginia Board of Counseling.
  • Experience working with adults diagnosed with serious mental illness (SMI), depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, or co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass required background checks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage an assigned caseload. Preferred Experience
